WEDDING INVITATION: MERCE & ÓSCAR

Merce y Óscar querían contar su historia de amor en la invitación de boda y así hacer a todos partícipes de la celebración. Descubrimos que Merce era una persona muy creativa en cuanto nos hizo llegar el texto. Decidimos transformarlo con un tono aún más fantasioso y entregarlo en un tríptico desplegable de papel verjurado. Unas ilustraciones ornamentaban la invitación haciendo referencia a distintos momentos simbólicos de la historia. Es una delicia cuando confían así en tu trabajo y en tus elecciones, enseguida encontramos la complicidad en ellos.

Merce and Oscar wanted to include their love story in the wedding invitation. We found that Merce was a very creative person at the moment we got the text. We decided to transform the story with an even more fanciful tone and deliver it in a three part fold. We included some illustrations referring to different symbolic moments. It is a delight when clients trust your work and your choices. We found their complicity.

La invitación de boda de Sara y Pablo

This is the wedding invitation we designed for Sara and Pablo. They married in Deva (Asturias), a place that has an emblematic entry embraced by a row of trees. We found that this entry was the best way to present their invitation, because of its beauty and symbolism. We also draw a map on the inside with the same tones and used a paper with a special texture. Matt metallic envelopes were the perfect packaging for this invitation.

Esta es la invitación de boda que hicimos para Sara y Pablo. Se casaron en Deva (Asturias), lugar que tiene una emblemática entrada abrazada por una hilera de árboles. Este camino nos pareció la mejor manera de presentar su invitación, por su belleza y simbología. También dibujamos un mapa en el interior con los mismos tonos y utilizamos un papel con una textura especial. Los sobres metalizados mate fueron el envoltorio perfecto para esta invitación.

"que el corazón no se pase de moda"

This is one of our latest work.
It is the wedding invitation of Guillermo and Cristina. Their only premise was that they wanted this fragment of Sabina's song to appear:

"Que el corazón no se pase de moda,

que los otoños te doren la piel,

que cada noche sea noche de bodas,

que no se ponga la luna de miel."
From there, and combining it with some words they used in our first meeting "something is blooming", we created this illustration depicting a couple growing together, ("something blooming") with a "moon" which refers to the song.
Heavyweight Paper and an special envelope.
The diptych is vertical format to emphasize the flowering. The typography is one of our favorites, which is from Bauhaus.
We want to thank Guillermo and Cristina the confidence in our work.

Aquí os mostramos otro de nuestros últimos trabajos.
Es la invitación de boda de Guillermo y Cristina. Su premisa fue que querían que apareciese ese fragmento de la canción de Sabina:
"Que el corazón no se pase de moda,
que los otoños te doren la piel,
que cada noche sea noche de bodas,
que no se ponga la luna de miel."
A partir de ahí, y uniéndolo a una de sus frases en nuestra primera reunión "algo que florece", creamos esta ilustración que representa a una pareja que crece junta, ("algo que florece") sobre una "luna" que hace referencia a la canción.
El papel es gramaje alto y aunque en las fotografías no se aprecia, tiene un pequeño biselado, como igualmente ocurre con el sobre.
El díptico tiene formato vertical para enfatizar ese florecimiento y la tipografía es una de nuestras favoritas, que tuvo su origen en la Bauhaus.
Desde aquí agradecemos una vez más a Guillermo y Cristina su confianza en nuestro trabajo.

Wedding invitation: Nélida e Iñaki

This is the wedding invitation of Nélida and Iñaki. When we met them they told us about them.
In a moment of the conversation he said "She just puts colour in my life!"
We loved that!! She is a elementary school teacher and he works as engineer, so we decided to create something with this idea.
The invitation is like a coloring book (like those she uses in her work), in wich a factory (like those in which he works) is colored.
Thank's again to them for this work.

Esta es la invitación de boda de Nélida e Iñaki. Cuando con reunimos nos hablaron acerca de ellos.
En un momento de la conversación él dijo "Ella pone color en mi vida" Nos encantóeso.
Ella es maestra de infantil y él trabaja como ingeniero, así que decidimos crear algo con esta idea.
La invitación es como un libro para colorear (como los que usa ella en su trabajo), en el cual una fábrica (como aquellas en las que él trabaja) va tomando color.
Gracias de nuevo a Nélida e Iñaki por confiar en nosotros.

Wedding invitation: Eva y Nacho

This is one of our lastest works. This is the story of a flight attendant and a pilot.
They wanted a simple wedding invitation, so their story were there in just some details:
the words: "fly me to the moon";
the map that came like a paper plane;
and the illustration of plane that was his favourite one.
They also gave as wedding present some personalized notebooks with the same claim and illustraton.
We really enjoyed this work and we wish them an amazing flight...
They deserve it!!

Este es uno de nuestros últimos trabajos. Es la historia de una azafata y un piloto.
Querían una invitación de boda sencilla, por lo que su historia se percibía en tan sólo algunos detalles: las palabras: "fly me to the moon";
el mapa que se incluyó como un avión de papel;
y la ilustración de su avión favorito.
Además dieron como regalo de bodas algunas libretas personalizadas con la misma frase y dibujo.
Disfrutamos mucho de este trabajo y les deseamos un vuelo increíble...

Sara e Iván

At last, we can show you some of our latest works. This is the invitation of Sara and Ivan. 

The island of Ibiza means a lot to them so they decided to make the celebration there and we considered that had to be also in the invitation. We have used an old typewriter font to give a vintage and more personal appearence. Inside, there is a drawing of the island where the celebration will take place and a text which tells their story. Lovers of fine details like us, we decided to use a textured paper, of great quality and a high weight, combined with an envelope of the same characteristics.

Al fin podemos mostraros algunos de nuestros últimos trabajos. Esta es la invitación de Sara e Iván.

La isla de Ibiza significa mucho para ellos y por eso decidieron hacer allí la celebración y decidimos que estuviera presente en la invitación. Utilizamos una tipografía de máquina de escribir antigua, para darle un aspecto vintage y más personal. En el interior, un dibujo de la isla que se ve desde donde tendrá lugar la celebración y un texto en el que se relata su historia. Amantes de los pequeños detalles como nosotros, decidimos utilizar un papel con textura, de mucha calidad y un alto gramaje, combinado con un sobre de las mismas características.

A special wedding

This was a very special comission. All are special for us, because couples trust us, and an invitation reflects the wedding character, I mean, the couple character.

This couple wanted to make a wedding big party with family and friends. He is from México, and she is from Madrid, but the wedding is going to be in Galicia.

They said us: Do what do you want to...

Wow, this is unusual. And we did it.

We made a poster, it comes folded and while you open it you can see the information.

At the end you have a naive illustration (mexican style).

Este fue un encargo muy especial. Todos los son, porque las parejas confían en nosotros, y una invitación refleja el carácter de la boda, es decir, el carácter de la pareja.
En concreto esta pareja quería hacer de su boda una gran fiesta con familiares y amigos. Él es de México, y ella es de Madrid, pero la boda va a ser en Galicia.
Nos dijeron: Haced lo que queráis hacer. Vía libre.
Wow, no es nada habitual. Y lo hicimos.
Hicimos un cartel, plegado, que según se va abriendo va mostrando la información.
Al final te encuentras con una ilustración naive (estilo mexicano) que los refleja a ellos.

Ce fut une commission très particulière. Tous sont spéciales pour nous, parce que les couples nous font confiance, et une invitation reflète le caractère de mariage, je veux dire, le caractère de une couple.
Ce couple voulait faire une fête de mariage avec famille et amis. Il est du Mexique, et elle est de Madrid, mais le mariage va être en Galice.
Ils nous ont dit: Fais ce que tu veux faire ...
Wow, ce n'est pas habituel. Et nous l'avons fait.
Nous avons fait une affiche, il arrive plié et pendant que vous l'ouvrez, vous pouvez voir les informations.
A la fin vous avez une illustration naïve (style mexicain).

le fabuleux destin...

Sometimes a place or a film means more that you can explain. This couple lived an especial moment in Paris, and Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain was important for them.

So we played with that. Little Amelie is seeing their names on the clouds, and some polaroids representing important places are all around.

A transparent envelop and a paper with texture to give more magic...

A veces, un lugar o una película significan más de lo que se pueda explicar.

Esta pareja vivió un especial momento en París y Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain era una película significativa para ellos. Así que jugamos con eso.

La pequeña Amelie hace fotos mientras ve sus nombres en las nubes, y en el interior de la invitación, esparcidas aparecen algunas polaroids que representan los lugares importantes.

Un sobre transparente y un papel con textura para dar más magia ...

Parfois, un lieu ou un film signifie plus que ce nous pouvons pouvez s'expliquer.

Ce couple a vécu une particulière moment à Paris, et Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain était important pour eux. Donc, nous avons joué avec ça.

Petite Amélie, vois leurs noms sur les nuages, et quelques polaroïds montrent les lieux importants.

Une enveloppe transparente et un papier à la texture pour avoir plus de magie...

We made this invitation for a couple of veterinarians who married in
Valencia.
Emerald: the color; Valencia: the oranges; their profession: represented by their pet.
In addition we wanted to use papers with different textures and transparencies, joined by a bond...

Esta invitación la hicimos para una pareja de veterinarios que celebraba la fiesta en Valencia.

De Esmeralda, el color; de su profesión, su mascota y de Valencia, los naranjos.

Además quisimos usar papeles con varias texturas y transparencias, unidos por un lazo...

Cette invitation a été faite pour un couple de vétérinaires qui va célébrer leur marriage à Valencia.
Emeraude, la couleur; les oranges de Valence, et sa profession représentée par son petit chien.
En plus, nous voulions utiliser des papiers avec différentes textures et transparences.

en las nubes

This is a work we make a few months ago for a nice couple who wanted

to get married in a little village near the sea.

We just wanted to play with lines and one colour.

Lines to represent the village,

one colour: blue, to represent the sea and the cloud where they are living now...

The texture of the paper represents the shapes of clouds.

Este es un trabajo que hicimos hace unos meses para una pareja que quería casarse

en un pueblecito de costa.

Quisimos un diseño sencillo y jugar con líneas y un color.

Líneas para representar el pueblo,

y un color, el azul, para representar la nube en la que se encuentran ahora...

La textura del papel recuerda sutilmente a las formas de las nubes.

C'est un travail que nous avons fait il y a quelques mois pour un couple

qui voulait se marier dans un petit village côtier.
Nous voulions un design simple et jouer avec les lignes et une couleur.
Lignes pour représenter le village,
et la couleur, bleu, pour représenter le nuage sur lequel ils sont maintenant ...

La texture du papier représente les formes des nuages.

The cat

Once upon a time, a lovely couple found a cat.
They took care of it, and became part of the family.
One day, the cute couple decided to get married. This is their wedding invitation.
Machu, the cat, is the king in that family, so it wanders through every corner of the paper, always watching, taking care of them.
Why is there a lighthouse? Well, that's another sea story...
He ask her to get married there.
There is always something that closes the circle. The circle can be seen in the envelope, and arround the lighthouse (the light), and the circle at the end (the sun), that one that Machu, the cat is protecting.
Or is he just having a rest?

Érase una vez, una encantadora pareja que encontró un gato.
Se hicieron cargo de él, y se convirtió en parte de la familia.
Un día, la pareja decidió casarse. Esta es su invitación de boda.
Machu, el gato, es el rey en esa familia, por lo que se pasea por cada esquina del papel, siempre está mirando, cuidando de ellos.
¿Por qué hay un faro? Bueno, esta es otra historia de mar ...
El le pidió a ella matrimonio allí.
Siempre hay algo que cierra el círculo.
El círculo que se puede ver en el sobre,
cerca del faro (la luz),
y al final(el sol), ese que Machu, el gato, está protegiendo.
¿O es que está descansando?

Il était une fois, un beau couple qui a trouvé un chat.
Ils ont pris en charge de lui, et il est devenu partie de la famille.
Un jour, le couple a décidé de se marier. Ceci est sa invitation de mariage.
Machu, le chat, est le roi dans cette famille, il marche par tous les coins du papier, toujours à la recherche, il prendre soin d'eux.
Pourquoi est qu'il y a un phare? Eh bien, c'est une autre histoire de la mer...
C'est là-bas que lui a fait la proposition.
Il y a toujours quelque chose qui ferme le cercle.
Le cercle peut être vu dans l'enveloppe,
près de le phare(la lumière)
et à la fin (le soleil), cette qui Machu, le chat, protège.
Ou êtes-ìl au repos?

Mirror

We told you we were working on some new invitations, but we can not show you them till the wedding day. We don't want to break the surprise.

Today one couple is getting married.

This is their wedding invitation: the mirror.

When we asked them to tell something about them, they described their vision about each other. Coque talked about Miguel and Miguel talked about Coque.

So this is their story, they reflect each other. So we play with the text and you have to read it through the silver envelope that makes a mirror effect.

The trees are representing the place where they decided to get married, and symbolize themselves as two trees that grow together touching their branches.

Hace tiempo os contamos que estábamos trabajando en nuevas invitaciones, pero no os las podemos enseñar antes de tiempo.

No queremos estropear la sorpresa.

Hoy una de esas parejas se casa.

Esta es su invitación de boda.

Cuando les pedimos que nos contaran algo sobre ellos, se describieron el uno al otro.

Coque habló sobre Miguel, Miguel habló sobre Coque.

Esa es su historia, uno es el reflejo del otro. Por ello jugamos con el texto y se tiene que leer a través del sobre plateado que hace efecto espejo.

Los árboles representan el lugar donde han decidido casarse, simbolizan además ellos como pareja, creciendo juntos y uniendo sus ramas.
